Meir Medical Center, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of Tel Aviv University, serves approximately 1 million residents in the Sharon area. The hospital has 790 beds, 700 physicians, and over 2,000 nurses, and performs more than 22,000 surgeries annually in ten advanced operating rooms. The hospital is proud to be part of Clalit Health Services – one of the largest healthcare networks in the world.

Who is the activity intended for?
For women who choose to give birth naturally, in a respectful, intimate and safe atmosphere – accompanied by a skilled medical team and in modern and adapted conditions.
Why is this important?
Meir Medical Center was a pioneer in the field of natural childbirth in Israel. Today, the natural birthing rooms at Meir are old and do not meet the standards of modern natural births. Upgrading the center will allow women to enjoy a natural, personal and safe birth experience – while maintaining access to immediate medical attention if necessary.

Renovation and upgrading of natural birthing rooms
Creating a warm, intimate, and supportive environment
Funding unique courses and training for midwives in natural techniques such as Spinning Babies, Hypnobirthing, Shiatsu, reflexology, NLP, and more
Combining midwives with additional training on each shift
Empowering the birth experience for mothers of all types – not just natural
